On January 28th, 2025, we hosted our first webinar in our business process series, focusing on the critical "Lead to Cash" cycle. This webinar explored how businesses, from small teams to multi-departmental organizations, can optimize this fundamental process to improve efficiency and drive revenue.
The session began with an overview of the key stages involved in Lead to Cash, highlighting the interconnectedness of each step. We discussed common challenges faced by small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) using fragmented IT systems, such as:
- Data Silos: Information trapped in separate applications, leading to manual data entry and reconciliation.
- Data Duplication: Inconsistent or outdated information across different systems, causing errors and delays.
- Lack of Visibility: Difficulty tracking leads, sales performance, and overall process efficiency.
- Manual Processes: Time-consuming tasks that could be automated, hindering productivity.
These issues often stem from the organic growth of IT infrastructure over time. As businesses expand, their initial systems – often a combination of spreadsheets and disconnected software – become increasingly inefficient and ultimately hinder further growth.
To illustrate a better approach, we presented a live demonstration of Odoo Version 18 ERP. This demo showcased how Odoo's integrated modules can streamline both B2B and B2C "Lead to Cash" scenarios, from initial customer contact through to final accounting reconciliation. The demonstration showed how leads are converted, sales are generated, invoices created, and paid. The goal was to provide a complete end to end demonstration.
